first, i am writing about the asics hera socks. i haven't tried the bamboo variation, but i don't see the non-bamboo hera's on amazon. i am a man with fairly small and narrow feet (mens 7.5-8), so the women's hera large socks fit me very well, and i use them rather than the more expensive but more or less the same with duller colors men's version.

the socks have a left and right side. they fit very well and don't have seams that cause blisters. they wick nicely and are very comfortable for long runs. they are a very low cut, so they aren't bulky or hot.

used to run in the cheapest cotton ones i could find, but now i'm a hera addict.
